Caring for the Carer - Respite
Since 2005, Independent Life has been a trusted source
of support for families and carers of people in their senior
years.
We understand that caring for a loved one can be physically
and emotionally exhausting at times.
It is important that you, the person's carer, get the support
you need in the manner you need it.
When we provide respite you can expect that:
- we will ask you how you like things to be done
- we will welcome your advice on how to best care for
your loved one whilst also leaving you feeling comfortable
that we can deal with any situation and provide the type
of care you would if you were home
- the Wellbeing Assistant allocated to you will be fully
briefed before they arrive
- your Wellbeing Assisnt will engage the person being
cared for and take the time to find out what they will
enjoy doing throughout the visit
- your Wellbeing Assistant will make him/herself useful
and help out with more than just the minimum - we go the
extra mile
- when you have a regular booking you will have the same
Wellbeing Assistant visit each time
- we will help with practical tasks as well as spending
time with your loved one
- you will have the flexibility to request we care for
your loved one whilst you go out, whilst you are home,
or for us to take your loved one out so you can spend
some time at home alone.
Phone us today on (03) 8862 6367 to talk
about the lifestyle you would like to enjoy. Alternatively,
you are welcome to email
us or fill out our contact form
and we'll get back in touch with you. We can also visit you
in your home for a no-obligation consultation.
